Join Balsam Mountain Trust and local conservation organizations at our 7th annual WNC Bird Festival! SATURDAY MAY 10: 10am - 4pm: BirdFest @ Monteith Farmstead and Community Park in Dillsboro NC 7pm - 10pm: Bird Trivia After-Party @ Innovation Station, Dillsboro, NC SUNDAY MAY 11: 8am - 12pm: Morning Bird Walk (details & registration at festival on May 10) All events are FREE and OPEN TO ALL! WNC BirdFest is an event to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and this year's theme is "Shared Spaces: Creating Bird-Friendly Cities & Communities." Festivities will include Guided Bird & Nature Walks, Live Music, Local Artists, Family-Friendly Activities & Crafts, Conservation Organizations, Value-Aligned Local Businesses, a Free-to-Enter Raffle with over $1500 in prizes & More! This event is proudly sponsored by the Jackson County Tourism and Development Authority and Vortex Optics.
