Marvel at the prodigious musical skill of young soloists and ensembles from the Royal College of Music Junior Department.
This concert showcases performances from some of the college’s leading soloists together with the winners of the Junior Department’s 2021 Chamber Music Prize.
The junior department of the Royal College of Music trains young musicians aged eight to 18.
Some 350 students attend each Saturday, travelling from as far afield as Tyneside, Manchester, York, Germany, Ireland and Spain.
The students have recently featured at the BBC Proms and regularly appear at prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Sadlers Wells and Cadogan Hall.
They have performed at the House of Lords and at Sandringham for the Royal College of Music President, HRH The Prince of Wales.
Four students from the Royal College of Music Junior Department were featured in the 2018 BBC Young Musician Category Finals.
The overall winners of the BBC Young Musician competition in 2010, 2012 and 2014 were all RCMJD students.
