On June 18th, Youth Day 2022 returns to Milton Keynes.
Founded in 2001 by Kas!Luv Entertainment, Youth Day pays homage to the 1976 uprising which profoundly changed the socio-political landscape in South Africa.
Youth day is celebrated annually paying homage and remembering the spirit of the those who lost their lives whilst fighting for change.
DJ MK created the event to celebrate music and arts. He is passionate about telling the story of South Africa’s rich history and bringing untold stories to the forefront hence the platform he has created through Youth Day. He is a pillar of the community and the movement he started 16 years ago with just a few friends in the park has evolved, now hosting 1500 people. DJ MK has received support from the mayor of Milton Keynes, the commissioners of the South Africa Embassy in the UK and families of the youth who were part of the Apartheid. The event is sponsored by Brand South Africa, the official custodian of South Africa’s National Brand.
The Willen Lake Park will be the home of Youth Day 2022 and the event has been hosted there since its conception, with people travelling across the UK and wider to learn about the history and enjoy music, dance, food and entrepreneurial social
exchanges and trades.
Youth Day 2022 will include:
Family activities - including a funfair and workshop, big wheel, bike rides, face painting Health workshops
Art exhibition - with exclusive art from South African artists
Food from across South Africa
The Youth Fest has an exciting live up of DJs and performers platforming Southern African music including:

Also performing on the day will be Asanda Jezile from Britain Got Talent and T Bone from Africa all stars Afro jazz band as well as special guest acts from South Africa (TBC).
