Festival Details - "Adams Fly Festival 2026"...
Start: Saturday, June 6, 2026 12:00PM
End: Saturday, June 6, 2026 5:00PM
The Kingsley Adams Fly Festival returns Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12–5 p.m. at Brownson Memorial Park in Kingsley, Michigan. Held annually on the first Saturday in June, this community event celebrates the tradition, history, and culture of fly fishing while bringing people together for a fun and engaging afternoon.
The festival honors the legacy of the Adams Dry Fly, created by Len Halladay, a piece of local history that continues to connect the community to the roots of fly fishing in Northern Michigan. Over the years, the event has grown into a well-loved tradition that blends education, recreation, and community spirit.
Festivalgoers can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including fly tying and casting demonstrations, opportunities to learn from experienced anglers, and displays of Au Sable river boats and equipment. Guided tours of nearby Mayfield Pond offer a chance to explore the natural beauty and history of the area.
In addition to hands-on and educational experiences, the festival features live music, vendors, and both live and silent auctions. Local food options will be available, making it easy to spend the entire afternoon at the park.
A beer and wine tent (21+) will be open from 12–5 p.m. with a $20 admission, offering a relaxed space for guests to gather and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
General admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
Proceeds from the Adams Fly Festival benefit the Kingsley Friends of the Library, supporting educational, cultural, and community programming at the Kingsley Branch Library.
Whether you’re an avid angler or just looking for a great way to spend a summer afternoon in Kingsley, the Adams Fly Festival offers something for everyone.
