The event is designed for enthusiasts of all ages, offering a mix of free public activities and specialized sessions that require pre-registration. “Our mission is to cultivate a deeper connection between Michigan’s tables and its farms,” says the Michigan Cheese and Dairy Guild “By celebrating the artistry of our dairy producers and the excellence of their products, we aim to raise awareness and provide education that champions Michigan agriculture. We are dedicated to supporting small businesses, highlighting identifiable local foods, and empowering the next generation of food producers.” Event Highlights Include: The Michigan Cheese Market: An open-air market featuring local vendors and cheesemakers from across the state. Artisan Demonstrations: Live insights into the cheesemaking process at the Leelanau Cheese Company facility. Family Activity Zone: Free, all-ages activities including face painting, petting zoo and live music. The Educational Series: Tour the Leelanau Cheese Cave, or learn about how ice cream is made Ticketed Pairing Workshops: Exclusive sessions pairing Michigan cheeses with local chocolate, and beverages (Registration Required).
