Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra presents Jeremy Kittel

Please join us on May 4, 2025 at the Cadillac High School Auditorium. The Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra will present "Music of America" with acclaimed fiddler/violinist Jeremy Kittel performing his work "Stones River." Pre-concert performance begins at 2:45; concert begins at 3:00. Admission is $15, students with current ID are free. Tickets for this concert are available at Brink's Custom Framing and Horizon Books in downtown Cadillac. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the performance.

Jeremy Kittel is committed to the belief that music and the arts are central to the human experience, and is a frequent clinician and educator. He has taught here in the United States and abroad at institutions including the Berklee College of Music and the Zurich University of the Arts. During his time in Cadillac, Kittel will provide clinics for string music students at Mackinaw Trail Middle School and Cadillac High School. The performance on May 4 will include Cadillac High School orchestra and band students. These students will join CASO orchestra members on stage for the performance of "Origins" by Brian Balmages. String students from Mackinaw Trail Middle School will perform at 2:45 in the auditorium lobby prior to the concert at 3:00. Mackinaw Trail students will be performing fiddle tunes that they have learned during the string clinic with Jeremy Kittel two days prior.
The Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra Board greatly appreciates the numerous individuals and organizations that support its efforts to support music education and live orchestra music in our community. Funding has been made possible from a grant from the Lakin Weeks Fund for Art and Humanities Fund held by the Cadillac Area Community Foundation. The Cadillac Arts Council sets aside funds every year to provide Arts experiences for local public school students; this year the CAC has partnered with the Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra and its Board to bring Jeremy Kittel into orchestra classes at Cadillac Area Public Schools. Amenities and lodging in Cadillac have been provided in part by TC Violin and Evergreen Resort.
