The Annual Blissfest Music Festival is a celebration of music, culture, art, and community featuring diverse and innovative folk, world, and roots music at our 200-acre Festival Farm in rural Northern Michigan.
Taking place in July, it’s the quintessential Michigan summer experience. Festival-goers enjoy being outside on the expansive lawn, in the shade of the woods, and feeling the breeze from nearby Lake Michigan. Don’t forget to look up! You can enjoy sunsets, watch the moon rise or set, see the Milky Way from the Back 40 campground, and you might get lucky and see the Northern Lights over the Main Stage.
Along with the music, guests at Blissfest will enjoy food trucks, dancing, yoga, workshops, arts and crafts, children’s activities, camping and much more.
The lineup for one of northern Michigan’s most cherished music festivals is out.
The 43rd annual Blissfest will feature Trevor Hall, Elephant Revival, Ozomatli, and Lindsay Lou along with over three dozen other acts.
Blissfest Executive Director Caroline Barlow said some of the talent has been sought after for years.
“As you can probably see through the lineup, it's a pretty diverse realm of genres,” she said. “Blissfest has a history of really kind of going all over the map with what we consider folk and roots music.”
“The name ‘Blissfest’ came from the town in Emmet County, but really, that is kind of the feeling that you get when you're there,” Barlow said. “Everyone is just on their best behavior and the best versions of themselves.”
Tickets are for sale on the Blissfest website. The festival also takes on volunteers, which requires an application and a $15 fee.
