Kenny Olson 10th Annual Rock-N-Hole Golf Tournament and Concert

Multi-platinum guitarist/songwriter Kenny Olson will host his 10th Annual Rock-N-Hole Charity Golf Tournament and Concert on Aug. 1 at Elmbrook Golf Course in Traverse City. Joining Olson for the 7 p.m. concert are keyboardist Jimmy Olson and other musical guests. The concert follows a charity golf tournament with a scramble starting at 1 p.m. 

Olson started this event in 2016 in memory of his cousin, Hallie Olson Wastell, who died of ovarian cancer at age 44. Proceeds go to the Hallie's Hearts Endowment at the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation. 

Olson, a Traverse City High School graduate, has performed at iconic venues around the world -- from the Super Bowl to Woodstock -- with Kid Rock, Aerosmith, Metallica, Sheryl Crow, Run DMC and others. He is known for fusing soulful, hard-hitting rock with blues and funk. The festive day includes a 50-50 raffle and silent auction. Concert-only tickets are $30 the night of the show. Bring a lawn chair.

Registration for the golf scramble is $550 for a foursome, or $150 golfer. That covers 18 holes of golf, cart/green fees, lunch and dinner, and one show ticket. Contact Cindy Johnson at 231-392-0379 for more information.
