Canawlers Day Festival Weekend

If you missed Canawler’s Day 2025 at the D&H Canal Museum, you’ll want to circle your calendar now for June 27 and June 28—a FREE community weekend complete with mules, music, pies, and plenty of hands-on history. The event is free but donations are greatly appreciated. The towpath mules, Dolly & Daisy will be giving free wagon rides on the Five Locks Walk starting at noon both days. The ever popular High Falls D&H Flea Market will set up in front of the museum both days. There will be history tours, a 19th century high-wheel bicycle demonstration, and CIA graduate Chef Tim Dean’s food truck, fresh cider donuts from Saunderskill Farm, and tangy key lime pie from the High Falls Food Co-op, and discounts for attendees at our new High Falls neighbor, Brooklyn Sour. Not to mention lawn games for the kids and a raffle. Join us for two days of family-friendly fun! This event is made possible through Ulster Rev250 funding. It is part of the Delaware & Hudson Transportation Heritage Council’s 200th Anniversary Celebration of the D&H Canal.
