2019 FESTIVAL HEADLINER
Nashville Recording Artist & Musician, Tim Atwood
With recent national television appearances on the Hallmark Channel's Home & Family show, Larry's Country Diner, Today in Nashville, Huckabee, FOX News, The Today Show, 615 Hideaway and Country Family Reunion, Tim Atwood's star continues to soar. The newest member of the Wheeling Jamboree, Tim performed a staggering 8,500 shows on perhaps the most venerable stage in country music history--the Grand Ole Opry. A member of the ALM Musicians' Hall of Fame, this multi award winning pianist/vocalist has received nods for R.O.P.E. Entertainer of the Year and AWA Male Vocalist of the Year. The Genuine Country Music Association gave Tim their 2018 Fan Favorite Award for his dynamic stage performances infused with laughter and an unashamed acknowledgement of his love of God, family and country.
Recently honored in America's Congressional Record for his many contributions to Country music, Tim continues to tour the country as both a solo artist and as part of intimate evening series with Grand Ole Opry legend Jeannie Seely. This year also finds Tim performing alongside T Graham Brown and Lorrie Morgan in concert. And 2019 brought Tim's first major cut as a songwriter with his self-penned song That's How I Roll recorded in April by Lorrie Morgan & Jeannie Seely with Vince Gill on guitar.
Tim's current album Livin The Dream was nominated for 2019 AWA Pure Country Album of the Year. Tim says, "I called my new album Livin' The Dream because that's what I do every morning when I lift my head off of the pillow. I don't have to perform traditional country music for a living; I get to perform traditional country music for a living. You can call me a a great singer or a pianist, and I love it...but when you call me an entertainer, well, that's music to my ears. If you attend one of my shows, I want you to clap your hands to the music, laugh at the stories and jokes, and shed a tear at the story songs that hit close to home...but I want you to leave my show feeling uplifted! Thirty-eight years with the Grand Ole Opry, I learned from the best."
