Saint Croix Vineyards invites the community to experience Minnesota's oldest and most beloved grape stomping tradition at their Annual Grape Stomp event on September 6 and 7. As the state's ORIGINAL stomp, this free, family-friendly festival celebrates the timeless art of winemaking while offering a full day of entertainment, food, and fun for all ages. "We do the grape stomp every year because people love it and it’s a great way to kick off harvest season," said Paul Quast, Co-Founder of Saint Croix Vineyards. Event Highlights Grape Stomping Competitions will take place at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm each day, with prizes awarded to participants of any age with the best grape-stomping style as determined by audience applause. Between scheduled competitions, everyone will have the opportunity to try their hand – or feet – at this traditional winemaking method. Live Music will set the festive atmosphere throughout both days of the event: Saturday: Retro Soul and the Westside Horns Sunday: Beatnick Brothers Free Vineyard and Winery Tours will be offered at 1pm and 3pm each day, providing guests with an inside look at Saint Croix Vineyards' winemaking process and the story behind their award-winning wines. Food and Refreshments will be available from local favorites Aamodt's Apple Farm and the Asian Invasion Food Truck. Saint Croix Vineyards also sells a la carte picnic fixings and non-alcoholic beverages. Complimentary Mini-Massages will be provided by Parkview Chiropractic Clinic, offering guests a chance to relax and unwind during the festivities. Of course, no winery event would be complete without wine tasting. Guests can sample Saint Croix Vineyards' collection of award-winning wines while enjoying the beautiful vineyard setting all day. Family Fun for All Ages The Annual Grape Stomp is designed as a multigenerational experience where children can safely participate in grape stomping alongside adults. The only requirement is a willingness to get covered in grape juice! “It’s a truly family-friendly event!” Paul Quast continued, “We always have the kids stomp after each group of adults because the children’s stomp gets the loudest applause every time.” Whether visitors choose to compete, cheer on participants, or simply soak in the festive atmosphere, there's something for everyone at this celebration of Minnesota's wine country.
