In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Lighthouse tower, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum presents the History in the Shadow of the Tower lecture series. Dr. Leslee Keys, author and Henry Flagler historian, will present the rise of the tourism industry in St. Augustine under the leadership of Henry Flagler, Standard Oil partner and visionary. His hotels and railroad forever changed our state and helped make Florida the playground of the wealthy class. This lecture will take place ay Memorial Presbyterian Church, built by Mr. Flagler in memory of his oldest daughter.
