Love and Light

Quodlibet, a Renaissance choral ensemble, presents Amore e Luce, Songs of Love and Light. On the program are songs from the Renaissance of spring, when a man's (and woman's!) fancy turns to love. There are songs about spurned love (Weep O Mine Eyes by John Bennet), lost love (Fair Phyllis by John Farmer), and passionate love (Fyer, Fyer by Thomas Morley). Many of the songs are in English, but a few are in French, Italian, and Spanish, also. The group performs without accompaniment.
