Festival Details - "PECB is Back at Phoenix Park Bandshell"...
Start: Friday, July 3, 2026 7:00PM
End: Friday, July 3, 2026 9:00PM
Jim Neist, PECB’s bandmaster, will lead the band on Friday, July 3 from 7-9 pm.
What a way to finish the day with flag waving patriotic tunes from Sousa to John Williams.
PECB will be in the heart of the unprecedented 10-day celebration planned by Visit Delavan (https://visitdelavanwi.com/250th-birthday-celebration/), Delavan-Darien School District, local civic groups, area businesses, and enthusiastic city residents that honors America’s 250th birthday. The celebration runs from Friday, June 26 through Sunday, July 5, 2026.
Phoenix Park will feature a “Party in the Park” from 12 to 5:00 pm on July 3rd. Why not make a day of it and extend the party until the evening’s performance of PECB? There will be picnic tables set up and vendors to provide a wide assortment of food and beverages to suit anyone’s tastes.
A Kansas City newspaper wrote in 1900, “A town without a band is like a church without a choir; the soul of the place is in its music”. How true. American instrumental ensembles, whether they be city bands, community bands, town bands, or just plain summer bands, reflect the face and values of the places they represent.
The Palmyra-Eagle Community Band is no different. Our 45 musicians come from many areas in Southeast Wisconsin from Portage to Burlington. From High School to 90 years old. We have it all.
This summer we are featuring home grown talent from Mukwonago, guest artist, Andy Tanel. He will wow the crowd with his virtuosity on the violin.
The Kettle Moraine Blues will spice up the evening with a sprinkling of America’s homegrown music, jazz!
So, pack up the clan for a whole day full of enjoyment! Oh, I forgot one important thing. Our concert is FREE!
