Props and Pistons Festival
Akron, Ohio | August 15–16, 2026 | 10am–4pm Daily

The Props and Pistons Festival is an aviation and community event held annually in Akron, Ohio. The two-day festival features aerobatic aerial displays, static aircraft exhibits, helicopter rides, a car and bike cruise-in, and U.S. Air Force flight simulators. Families can enjoy a free Kids Zone hosted by Akron Children's Museum with bounce houses, crafts, and educational activities, plus a variety of food trucks on-site.

One of the festival's most moving traditions is the "Flight of the Flags" veteran ceremony, now in its 5th year, in which burial flags from fallen service members are flown one final time aboard a WWII TBM Avenger, accompanied by a 21-gun salute and flag folding demonstration.

Free parking and shuttle service are available at 1210 Massillon Rd, Akron, OH 44306. Handicap accessible options are provided.
