Long recognized as the Piedmont’s premier choral ensemble, Bel Canto Company invites you on a journey of discovery through a vibrant mix of choral music—spanning classical, jazz, and even Bob Dylan. Ramblin’ is a concert full of fun, hope, and stunning vocal artistry.
Highlights include:
- Bob Chilcott’s evocative jazz setting of "Swimming Over London", recalling a magical encounter in that great city
- A rousing arrangement of the beloved sea shanty "The Wellerman"
- The timeless standard "Moonlight in Vermont", arranged by Darmon Meader, capturing the serenity of a moonlit night
- Eriks Ešenvalds’s breathtaking a cappella setting of "Salutation", with moving text by Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore
- "La Nuit en Mer" by Henk Badings, whose lush harmonies conjure the mystery of a night at sea
