DNR – Fairfield County's most celebrated (almost) all-physician rock band – presents a special event at the Westport Library to benefit pancreatic cancer research and treatment at Norwalk Hospital and across Nuvance Health – and we want you there! Plus... Special guest Jim Naughton will take the mic for a song or two! And... Your ticket includes complimentary beverages and snacks!

Tickets $35. All proceeds go to the Nuvance Health pancreatic cancer research study, led by Richard Frank, MD, chief of cancer research for Nuvance Health -- and -- saxophonist for DNR.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month and what better way to contribute than a night of rock 'n' roll? Join us for a rocking evening of great music for a great cause!

About the cause: Pancreatic cancer remains a devastating disease with no proven early detection methods. Pancreatic cancer research at Nuvance Health hospitals and the Rudy L. Ruggles Research Institute involve clinical and scientific teams devoted to high-impact translational research.

Researchers are focused on developing early detection methods in high-risk individuals and families that include MRI screening and the discovery of new blood biomarkers of pancreatic cancer. These biomarkers may aid in early diagnosis, prognosis and prediction of response to treatment.

The team is also providing individuals battling pancreatic cancer with access to some of the most cutting-edge clinical trials around.
