“Stand Up and Sing Out”. More than a name, it’s a declaration of purpose. At a time when LGBTQIA+ voices continue to face political pressure, erasure, and renewed attempts to limit our rights, this concert embraces the radical act of being visible, joyful, and unapologetically ourselves. “Stand Up and Sing Out” reflects the long tradition of queer people using music as both refuge and resistance. Throughout history, song has been a way to claim space, build community, and speak truths that cannot be silenced. Our program celebrates that legacy with music that uplifts, challenges, comforts, and calls us to action. This concert is not only an artistic event—it is a reminder that choosing to gather, to sing, and to celebrate LGBTQIA+ identity is itself a form of activism.
