Tango Calor + Tangopuro: Argentine tango

Tango Calor is a collective of musicians with a love for Argentine tango music: Mirek Salmon (bandoneon), Daryl Kellie (guitar) and Jimi Can (vocals). Mirek has performed with BBC orchestras, Welsh National Opera and the Royal Shakespeare Company amongst others. Daryl Kellie has been described by D'Addario strings as "truly stunning" and Jimi Can is a consummate showman from Bristol's burgeoning Afro-Cuban and Flamenco music scenes. Tango Calor has performed up and down the country (including La Linea festival in London, Cheltenham International Tango Festival, Glasto Latino) and in shows in Italy, France and Spain. Tangopuro: dancers Alejandro Angelica and Ornella Torrito have 27 years' international experience in performance theatrical shows and worldwide workshops. They are are versatile artists who range from the tango canyengue to the electrotango, from the tango salón to the milonga with traspié, from the vals to the tango show. Building on the ancient traditions of the tango, they develop the form to its outer limits with their own improvisations.
