Thai Street Food Festival

The Thai Street Food Festival 2024 represents a variety of cultural food from different regions of Thailand such as Bangkok, Chaing Mai, and Phuket. We are fostering a broader sense of community and promoting Thai restaurants across Michigan. In addition to great food, there will be a Thai dancing performance. Also, for the first time in 2024, we reached out to connect with other Asian communities i.e. Laotian, Vietnamese, Bengali and Filippino groups, inviting them to showcase their cultural traditions through performances. It is an opportunity for the Thai community to partner and collaborate with other Asian communities, promoting unity and partnership and lifting the great work being done to share resources to support all community members. Beyond food and traditional dance, there will be booths from organizations that provide wider community benefit, i.e. APIA-Vote and the Center for Health Disparities Innovations and Studies. There will be over 20 vendors selling food (e.g. Pad Thai, Khao Soi, sushi, Pho), drinks (e.g. Thai tea, non-alcoholic beverages) and Thai clothing. Located in Sterling Heights near the intersection of Van Dyke and 17 Mile Road, the Buddhist Meditation Center offers plentiful parking and hosts many Asian community events throughout the year.
