Step into the festive spirit at The Bowes Museum’s Winter Market, where more than 100 artists, designers, makers and food producers will be selling unique gifts, seasonal treats and delicious refreshments. Browse jewellery, ceramics, textiles, original art, candles, skincare and more, alongside street food, sweet treats, craft beers and warming drinks. Your ticket also includes entry to the museum’s galleries and exhibitions. Stalls will be set across the museum grounds and inside the galleries, combining heritage surroundings with festive cheer. Visitors can also enjoy artist-led workshops, carolling and seasonal activities as part of the Winter Market programme. A welcoming day out for families, friends and shoppers alike, with accessible facilities throughout the museum and grounds, specialist outdoor matting for stalls outside, lift access, free on-site parking on a first-come, first-served basis and additional parking nearby. Adult tickets are £7.50 when booked before 7 December, or £9 from 7 December. Members of The Bowes Museum must book tickets to this event, under 18s, full-time students and carers go free. Recommended for all ages, children under 14 must be accompanied.
