The Ghost of Uncle Joe's : Halloween Benefit Masquerade Ball

Hudson County’s annual Ghost of Uncle Joe's Halloween Masquerade Ball Fundraiser returns Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21st [horrific weather date Sunday, October 22nd] at the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery. The fan-favorite fundraiser, now 13 years strong, features live music covered by local bands that dress and perform as their musical idols. Other event highlights include on-site food trucks, locally brewed drinks, and a costume contest. All profits from the Halloween fundraiser benefit the Harsimus Cemetery, a historic Jersey City landmark that relies on private donations to fund daily operations and to help it continuously give back to the community by hosting live music, art, film, and retail + craft pop-up events throughout the year. Notable acts of this year’s bill include musical greats like Nirvana, Depeche Mode, Taking Back Sunday, Tina Turner, Primus, The Killers, Metallica, No Doubt, Evanescence and Motorhead. The Hudson County Halloween event favorite also includes a kid friendly option. Saturday’s matinee show is family friendly and features community favorite: Hoboken School of Rock All Star Band, who will be covering Guns and Roses this year. The daytime show will also feature the iconic music of The New York Dolls and Johnny Cash. The Who and a Death Row Records Hip Hop tribute round out the stellar line-up paying homage to hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. Tickets for The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s Fundraiser range from $20 to $35 for adults, and $5 to $10 for children, with discounts for seniors and veterans. Tickets can be purchased online.
