“Tour de Concord” Bike Races and Free Family Bike Festival - Sunday July 13

Concord Pacific hosts the fifth annual Tour de Concord criterium cycling race, and its accompanying Free Family Bike Festival at Concord Pacific Place in Vancouver on Sunday, July 13. Wholesome fun for all ages! From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, witness the suspense and excitement of amateur and pro racers close-up. Racing events include Amateur Races, a Kids (7-10) Fun Track Lap, Kids and Parents/Grandparents Relay Race (6-12), a Youth Race (13-17) and Men's and Women's Pro Races – all on a fully contained and upgraded 900-metre cycling course. See some of the fastest cyclists around, including elite racers from the U.S. and other countries. The festival also includes a beer garden, food trucks, bike vendors, and viewing access to the exhilarating races. Register in advance for free access to extra festival activities, treats and prize giveaways valued at $10,000. Also includes complimentary bike valet service, free popcorn for kids, a bike safety check and mini tune-ups by MEC. The festival boasts a Cycling BC HopOn bike obstacle course, thrilling live performances by Zero Gravity Trials showcasing their spectacular riding skills, and an arts and crafts tent. The festival also includes a charity race in support of the St. Paul’s Foundation’s drive to transform health care at the new St. Paul’s Hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus – bringing state-of-the-art, compassionate, care to patients and families in Vancouver and across BC.
