It’s the annual Waikiki SPAM JAM®, a cultural tradition in Hawaii, and rated as one of the top annual food festivals in Hawaii. The Waikiki SPAM JAM® in 2024 is on Saturday, April 27 from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Participating restaurants will be serving unique SPAM dishes at this signature block party. From April 20 to May 5, Waikiki restaurants will be participating in a Can To Table Restaurant Week experience. Here on our website you can find out what restaurant items will be served, stage entertainment and more! Introduced in 1937 by Hormel Foods, more SPAM® is consumed per person in Hawaii than in any other state in the United States. Almost seven million cans of SPAM® are eaten every year in Hawaii. Street Closure information: Kalakaua Avenue will be completely closed to car traffic from 2:00pm to midnight on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Closure will be from Seaside Avenue to Liliuokalani Avenue. Two lanes on the mountain side will be closed at 1:30pm.
