The programme spans the neoclassical elegance of Bacewicz’s Suite, to Beach’s achingly beautiful Romance and Moszkowski’s exuberant Suite in?G?minor. Shostakovich’s whimsical Five?Pieces lead us into the franco-blues of Ravel’s Violin Sonata, before we take a trip across the border to the sun-soaked melodies of de?Falla’s Spanish Dances and the dazzling pyrotechnics of Sarasate’s Navarra.
