The Grupo Folclórico de Poughkeepsie and the La Guelaguetza Organizing Committee invite you to attend La Guelaguetza de Poughkeepsie 2026. La Guelaguetza is an annual celebration of the ethnic and cultural diversity of Oaxaca. Dating back to pre-Hispanic times, this vibrant tradition has taken root in the Hudson Valley and has been recognized as a legacy event by the City of Poughkeepsie. Join us as we celebrate the spirit of community and mutual giving through dance, music, food, and fun for the whole family. This is a free family event, rain or shine. No alcohol is permitted. La Guelaguetza es una celebración anual de la diversidad étnica y cultural de Oaxaca. Con raíces que se remontan a la época prehispánica, esta vibrante tradición ha echado raíces en el Valle del Hudson y ha sido reconocida como un evento emblemático por la Ciudad de Poughkeepsie. Acompáñenos a celebrar el espíritu de comunidad y ayuda mutua a través de la danza, la música, la comida y la diversión para toda la familia. Este es un evento familiar gratuito que se realizará con lluvia o con sol. No se permite el consumo de alcohol.
