Launch of “One Single Act,” a New Book by The Very Reverend Winnie Varghese

Join us at the Cathedral to celebrate the release of One Single Act, the new book by the Very Rev. Winnie Varghese, Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Rooted in the fundamentals of Christian spirituality, One Single Act explores how everyday acts of kindness, generosity, compassion, and justice can transform our lives, strengthen our communities, and inspire hope. The book invites readers to consider how even the smallest actions can make a meaningful difference.

The book builds on the #OneSingleAct initiative, launched by the Episcopal Diocese of New York in collaboration with Dean Varghese in July 2025, which encouraged individuals to embrace one intentional act of kindness, generosity, compassion, or justice each day.

The evening will include the Dean in conversation with Bishop Matthew Heyd and members of the team behind #OneSingleAct followed by a reception and book signing with the Dean.

This event is free and open to all, but advance registration is requested.
